Why are soap bubbles round?

As part of the series of conferences for secondary school students, Saturdays Mathematics, on 11 March UAB Department of Mathematics lecturer Jordi Porti will offer a conference on the roundness of soap bubbles, entitled “Per què les bombolles de sabó són rodones?”, which will cover the topic of isoperimetric inequality. The confrence will take place at the conference hall of the Faculty of Science and Biosciences. Registration is free, but seating is limited. An attendance certificate will be given to those who attend three or more conferences.
