The physics of all sizes and mathematics, tools for understanding the world

To end the Physics Saturdays series and give way to the Mathematics Saturdays series, there will be a special session held on 4 March with two conferences. Located at the conference hall of the faculties of Science and Biosciences, Department of Physics lecturers Diego Blas and Rafael Escribano will talk on the physics found in all shapes and sizes: “De petit a gran: la física de totes les mides”. At 11:45 a.m., after a short break, the conference “La matemàtica, una eina per entendre el món” will be offered by Department of Mathematics lecturer Armengol Gasull, who will speak on how mathematics helps understand the world. Registration is free, but seating is limited. An attendance diploma will be given to those who attend three or more conferences.
