"The Crisis of Spanish Communism. Forty years of 1982"

The Centre for Studies on Dictatorships and Democracies (CEDID-UAB) and the Foundation for Marxist Research (FIM) organise a workshop on communism in Spain, entitled "La crisi del comunisme espanyol. 40 anys de 1982". The workshop will take place on 27 and 28 October at the conference hall of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and will also be streamed live on the Teams platform.

The workshop will begin on 27 October at 9:30 a.m. with an opening presentation and a first debate entitled "Transformacions i dissidències en el moviment comunista internacional", in which Emanuele Treglia (UCM), Georgy Filato (Russian Academy of Sciences) and Xavier María Ramos (UCM) will participate. In the afternoon, a new session entitled "Turbulències en el món sindical" will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will include speeches by Javier Tébar (UB) and Víctor Peña (UCA).

On 28 October at 9:30 a.m. a debate entitled "Militar en temps de crisi" will include the participation of Eduardo Abad (UNIOVI/CEDID), Laura Cruz (UPV) and Giaime Pala (UdG). Finally, a last session at 3:30 p.m. entitled "Memòries d'un passat convuls" will take place with the participation of Joan Tafalla (Arxiu Josep Serradell) and Francisco Erice (UNIOVI).
