Second meeting of the UAB-UB healthcare institutions

The two leading institutions in healthcare studies in Catalonia, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Universitat de Barcelona, are organising the 2nd Meeting of UAB-UB healthcare institutions, which will be held at UAB Casa Convalescència in Barcelona on 2 July. It will begin at 5:00 p.m. with welcoming remarks by the rectors of the UAB, Javier Lafuente, and the UB, Joan Guàrdia.

This will be followed by a conference, entitled “Artificial Intelligence in a white coat: ally or substitute”. The conference will be given by Aura Hernández, deputy director of Gender and Secondary School Relations at the UAB School of Engineering, and Jorge Bernal, lecturer at the UAB Department of Computer Science and researcher at the Computer Vision Centre. The moderator will be Ricardo Casaroli, assistant for coordination with the network of health institutions of the UB.

This will be followed by a round table discussion entitled "Mental health in the population: The role of medical schools", with the participation of Narcís Cardoner, director of the Psychiatry Service of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau; Mireia Forner, coordinator of Health Psychology at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau; Antoni Trilla, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB; and Josep Maria Haro, director of Teaching, Research and Innovation, Sant Joan de Déu Health Park. The moderator will be Salvador Navarro, dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the UAB.
