Refugee and migrant geopolitics

During the months of May and June, the University-Business Programme of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies at the UAB is holding a series of conferences on geopolitics coordinated by UAB Professor in Applied Economics Jordi Bacaria. The objective of the series is to discuss the main geopolitical problems that are of interest in decision-making processes within a business environment, while taking into consideration the technological changes affecting employment, cybersecurity, organised crime, migrations and refugees, the role of international organisations, etc.

The last conference will take place on 27 June, from 12:45 to 2 p.m., at the conference hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies. It is entitled "Geopolítica de los refugiados y las migraciones" and will be given by Blanca Garcés, senior researcher in Migrations and research coordinator at the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB). She is also Doctor Cum Laude in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, with a BA in History and Anthropology from the University of Barcelona.
