Professor Barton Miller to speak on fuzz testing

Professor Barton Miller from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be visiting the UAB School of Engineering to give a conference entitled "Random Testing with 'Fuzz': 30 Years of Finding Bugs". The conference, which will take place at the conference room (Sala de graus), will focus on the 30th anniversary of fuzz testing, a testing method that has been overlooked by the research community given that it is used as a software testing method in the field of engineering.

The conference aims to explain this technique and Professor Miller will present in detail the different results he has achieved using this method. the results often include the identification of errors and coding practices causing these errors. The event will end with philosophical reflections on the current state of software development.
