Inauguration of the academic year at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting

The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting will inaugurate the 2023/24 academic year on Wednesday 18 October at 1:00 p.m. at the Aula interpretació 4 with an event that will include speeches by UAB Rector Javier Lafuente Sancho and Faculty Dean Olga Torres Hostench.

The inaugural lecture will by given by psychotherapist Anna Ferre Giménez, who earned her degrees in Psychology and Translation and Interpreting at the UAB. Her speech will focus on mental and emotional health and is entitled “Salut mental o salut emocional? Cuidem-nos a la FTI”.

The inauguration will also coincide with some of the activities taking place at the faculty during the UAB Innovation Week, such as "Cabines d'interpretació obertes” (from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), open to all those interested in visiting the interpreting booths at the FTI with the aim of fostering an innovative spirit and curiosity for research and entrepreneurship among university students. 

The FTI Student Council has also organised a Swipe up Day for Wednesday.
