The 28th Science Week in Catalonia (SC'23), organised by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Generalitat de Catalunya, with the support of BBVA and Amgen, will be held from 10 to 19 November.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Parliament of Catalonia on Friday 10 November at 10.00 a.m., with speeches from Anna Erra i Solà, President of the Parliament of Catalonia; Joan Gómez Pallarès, General Director of Research of the Ministry for Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya; and Jordi Mas i Castellà, General Director of the FCRI.
The event will continue with the conversation "Joan Oró i Florensa, the dream of the origin of life", with Marina Martínez, researcher at the Department of Geology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and collaborator of the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI) of NASA, and Ricard Guerrero y Moreno, professor of Microbiology at the University of Barcelona (UB). Joan Anton Català i Amigó, curator of the Joan Oró Year and science popularizer, will moderate the event.
