The UAB's Laboratori de Recerca Prosocial Aplicada (LIPA NET), directed by lecturer Robert Roche, organises an online session on tips for victims of gender-based violence entitled "La finestra de les primeres 24 hores. Estratègies i models d'intervenció a Islàndia perquè la dona no torni amb el seu agressor". The session will include the participation of almost 200 people registered and who will be logging in from Germany, Chile and Catalunya. The event will take place on 29 September at 7 p.m. and will include the participation of the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police Force, Sigríður Björk Guðjónsdóttir.

The session is aimed at police officers, healthcare personnel and other professionals working to eradicate gender-based violence and will focus on an intervention method that is attracting the attention of experts from around the world for their results in violence prevention, particularly for its efficacy in preventing that women return with their aggressors.

The conference will offer simultaneous interpretation via Zoom. There are limites places so registration is necessary. The professional dialogues on gender-based violence are organised by LIPA NET as a continuation of the European projects FEEL and REVIVAL, in which the UAB was involved as a partner.
