Film projection 'Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans', by F.W. Murnau (1927)

This film, winner of three Oscars, narrates the story of a farming couple (George O'Brien and Janet Gaynor) whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of a sophisticated city woman (Margaret Livingston), who wants to enjoy a holiday in the town. The farmer falls obsessively in love with her, to the point that he neglects all his daily chores on the farm and ignores his wife. The wife, played by Janet Gaynor, becomes a nuisance for the new pair of lovers, who come up with a plan to get rid of her.  

"The Immortals" cinema series, organised by lecturer in the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Ludovico Longhi, aims to pay tribute to some films that are considered cinema classics. The legacy of these audiovisual works has transcended several generations and tastes, achieving an admirable cultural and artistic recognition, as well as eternal fame and glory.
