The UAB Faculty of Law will host the European Collaborative Research Conference (CERC 2023) on 9 June in the Sala de Graus, with local organisation led by the Institute of European Studies and the Jean Monnet EUPOL Chair.

This is an annual multidisciplinary conference that has been taking place since 2011 and brings together researchers from a wide range of disciplines to promote knowledge transfer, interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration. More information can be found on the website. This year it will have a hybrid format and will address a variety of topics.

The opening will be attended by Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence; Esther Zapater, Secretary General of the UAB; and Susana Navas, Dean of the Faculty of Law. This will be followed by a keynote lecture on new developments in AI and emerging technological laws in the digital era, given by lecturer Cristina Blasi, from the UAB Faculty of Law.

The event includes three communication sessions. The first will deal with topics related to "Big data, computation, modelling and privacy", the second will focus on "New initiatives and laws in the digital market", and the last will be on "Medical, social and economic sciences: new developments".
