La francesa Laura: unknown comedy by Lope de Vega uncovered using Artificial Intelligence

Researcher Álvaro Cuéllar (University of Viena) will give a conference on the process of the research which led to the discovery of a new theatrical play by Lope de Vega, entitled La francesa Laura, located in the manuscripts collection of the Spanish National Library. The conference will also include the participation online of Germán Vega (University of Valladolid), who alongside Cuéllar discovered the authorship of the play. The research, conducted in collaboration with the UAB's CER PROLOPE research group, represented an intense task culminating in the use of advanced computer techniques and traditional philological research.
