The Centre for Sociological Studies on Everyday Life and Work (QUIT) of the UAB co-organises the conference entitled "Democracy at Work through Transparent and Inclusive Algorithmic Management" as leader of a consortium of five partners including the Centre for Social Innovation (Austria), the University of Copenhagen, Employment Relations Research Centre (Denmark), WZB Berlin Social Science Centre (Germany) and the Centre for Social Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Hungary).

The meeting will take place on 26 January, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Madrid. It will discuss the results of the INCODING project, funded by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, focusing on the challenge posed by algorithmic management and the use of AI for social actors, managers and workers.

Aida Ponce del Castillo, researcher at the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), will give the opening lecture and Óscar Molina, lecturer at the Department of Sociology at the UAB, will give a presentation on the INCODING project. The day will continue with four sessions in which the results of the project in the manufacturing and platform sectors will be presented, and two round tables will be opened with representatives of the social agents.

The event will be conducted in English, but simultaneous English-Spanish interpretation will be available. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required by 19 January.
