Cities in the face of climate emergency: keys to a fair transition

The Metropolis Institute of Catalonia presents the 65th number of its journal Papers at the seminar on cities and their transition under the current climate emergency: "Ciutats enfront l’emergència climàtica: claus per una transició justa". Ricard Gomà, director of the Metropolis Institute, will give the welcoming speech and present Mar Satorras and Elena Domene, members of the Urban Sustainability Area of the institute who will be presenting the journal Papers.
The seminar will continue with two round tables. The first, entitled “Adaptació i mitigació urbana per assolir una transició justa”, will include the participation of David Saurí, lecturer of the UAB Department of Geography; Raquel Colacios, representative of TURBA-IN3 & Coolschools; Sara Maestre , researcher at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB); Núria Pérez, member of the Area of Mobility of the Metropolis Institute; and Ana Romero, from the Climate Emergency Services at AMB.
Participating in the second round table, entitled “Noves narratives i aliances transformadores enfront l’emergència climàtica” will be Joana Díaz, lecturer of the UAB Department of Political Science and Public Law; Sara Mingorría, lecturer of the UdG and member of Zeroport & Stay Grounded; Josep Nualart, member of the Debt Observatory for Globalisation; Marta Ruiz, representative of the Ethnographic & Observatory for Food; and María Heras, from TURBA-IN3 (UOC).
