- UAB Campus
On May 6th and 7th 2022, the first Bioblitz will take place on the UAB campus. A BioBlitz is a participatory citizen science event that aims to record as many species of living things as possible at a specific site during a given time. Bioblitz provide observations and contribute to enriching biodiversity databases for research. Between all of us we will update the biodiversity data of the UAB. We work and study in a privileged place in the middle of the Vallesana plain, in a space of paramount importance for the conservation of biodiversity and as a connector between the coastal and pre-coastal mountain ranges.
You will be able to register and collaborate in the sampling of different groups of plants and animals with the help of experts and field biologists who will teach us how to study the different types of living beings. At the same time, you may be lucky enough to personally meet other species with which we share the campus.
Stay tuned for when registrations open.
The project is funded by the FAS (Autonomous Solidarity Foundation), in collaboration with the Environment Office of the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona)
