Artificial intelligence and language models: the case of ChatGPT and the impact on our jobs

Pilar Sánchez Gijón, lecturer at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting and researcher of the UAB's GELEA2LT group on digital literacy will be given the second session of the conference series that explore the different aspects of artificial intelligence and its social impacts coordinated by the Computer Vision Centre (CVC).
This talk will allow participants to delve into the basic workings of artificial intelligence, discuss language models, and also analyse the social impact it can have. Questions will be discussed, such as: What are the limits of current language models and what is the expected evolution in the coming years? How will it affect the way we learn and assess learning using tools such as ChatGPT?
