On 7 February at 9:30 a.m., at the Faculty of Education of the UAB, the 21st International Conference on Social Science Teaching Research will begin with a presentation of papers. This will be followed by a three-way conversation on initial training in specific teaching methods. The event will continue with the presentations of the papers and research conducted by GREDICS (Research Group in Didactics of Social Sciences). Finally, there will be a discussion on pedagogical renewal movements as the basis for reflection, research and continuing education, and the conference will be closed.
The 21st International Conference on Social Science Teaching Research is focused on the collaboration between educational centres of different levels to face common challenges in the teaching and learning of social sciences. Topics such as research, innovation, teacher training, democracy, historical memory, diversity, hate speech and gender perspective will be discussed.
The conference is organised by the PhD Programme in Education, Faculty of Education, Unit of Teaching of Social Sciences and GREDICS (Research Group in Didactics of Social Sciences). This activity can be validated as 20 hours of teacher training by the Ministry for Education of the Government of Catalonia.
