Open Day at the AFIN group: "Losses that Count"

On the occasion of the International Day of Awareness for Grief and Gestational, Perinatal and Neonatal Death, the AFIN research group at the UAB is organising an open day to share experiences, knowledge and reflections on pregnancy loss and extreme prematurity.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be talks with researchers, audiovisual presentations, and participatory workshops that will allow these experiences to be addressed from different perspectives, give space to often-invisible voices, and open a dialogue with the academic community and the general public.

In addition, the AFIN group is organising an awareness-raising campaign throughout this month with various posts on social media and their website. The series of publications will share various scientific, outreach and transfer products that the research group has produced since 2024, such as books, technical reports, policy briefs, documents, podcasts, short films, etc.

The aim is to share these materials with a wider audience and to showcase the value of the research and the university in producing knowledge on this topic, both anthropological and resulting from interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration, in a clear commitment that the AFIN group has to open and citizen science.
