Journalism in the face of genocide

Given the current international scenario, the Faculty of Communication Studies has organised a conference entitled “El periodisme davant el genocidi”, which will be held of 22 October and aims to be a space in which to reflect on and analyse the role of peace journalism.

The event will include the participation of the winners of the First Peace Journalism of Catalonia Awards and of members of the Peace Journalism Group of the Association of Journalists of Catalonia.

Participating in the conference will be Sònia Calvó and Oriol Andrés (La Directa), Roser Oliver Olivella (3Cat) and Olga Rodríguez (Ràdio 4). The event will be presented by Josep Lluís Gómez Mompart from the Peace Journalism Group.

The conclusions will be presented by Xavier Giró, former lecturer at the Faculty of Communication Studies and author of the book Contra la neutralitat. Un periodisme de pau i de lluita.
