Gabriela Bernal to talk on indigenous rights in modern Ecuador

Gabriela Bernal, lecturer at the Universidad Central del Ecuador, will inaugurate the conference series entitled El pueblo de derecha. El conservadurismo popular en las Américas y Europa (siglos XIX, XX y XXI) on 1 October. She will give a conference entitled "El triunfo de la blanquitud. La derecha indígena de Ecuador contemporáneo". The series is co-organised by the Centre for Studies on Dictatorships and Democracies at the UAB (CEDID-UAB) and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) Mondes Américains. The conference will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will take place at the EHESS headquarters in Paris. It will also be streamed online on the Zoom platform.
