Event details

The passing of the law on euthanasia has brought about a significant social change and has direct implications for healthcare practices. The process of medical aid in dying has led hundreds of professionals in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, psychology and law to rethink their practice. This rethinking has ethical, political, legal, clinical and personal implications.

Organised by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Fundació Institut Universitari per a la Recerca a l'Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol), the Associació Dret Morir Dignament, and with the support of the UAB CORE in Mental Health, this conference will reflect on the experiences of professionals involved in the implementation of the law. It will also present the guide of good practices in euthanasia, which emerged as a result of the research, and contribute to generate an open forum for all those involved in the aid in dying process.

The conferences are open to the general public, but prior registration is required.
