Francesc Cortés offers a conference on Alícia de Larrocha and Victòria dels Àngels

The conference on the famous Catalan pianist and composer, and the famous Catalan soprano, entitled “Alícia de Larrocha i Victòria dels Àngels: dues grans intèrprets de la música catalana”, will take place at the Mestre Martí Tauler Library in Rubí on 29 November. The conference wil be given by Francesc Cortés, coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Musicology at the UAB and expert in classical music. The event will be moderated by Adrià Martín, director of the Mestre Martí Tauler Library.  

Alícia de Larrocha was a famous pianist and composer of the 20th century, who was awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts in 1994 and also four Grammy Awards. Victòria dels Àngels was a soprano opera singer and ranks number 3 in the BBC Music Magazine's 20 Greatest Sopranos of All Times.
