Screening of "A Private War", (2018), by Matthew Heineman
Description:
Marie Colvin is a journalist famous for having witnessed major armed conflicts, including the one in the Middle East. Everyone loves her for her work, but only a few know the real Colvin: a woman consumed on the inside and who drinks too much, in addition to the deep contempt she feels for British high society, which does not stop praising her and giving her awards. Nevertheless, Colvin is commissioned to travel to Syria with the war photographer Paul Conroy. With little protection, Colvin will enter her most dangerous mission at the core of the conflict: the chaotic city of Homs.

Second session of the "Talks About Europe" series
Description:
On 30 May at 6:30 p.m the Europe Room of the European Institutions Office (Passeig De Gracia 90, Barcelona), the second session of the "Talks About Europe" series will be held. The aim is to extend the debate about the elections to the European Parliament this month of May outside the traditional academic space. The topic of this conference will include the lectures of Enrique Hernández and Núria Font from the UAB and Astrid Barrio from the University of Valencia.
