The UAB campus services will offer a combination of remote and in-office attention with special opening hours during the month of August. Train and bus lines to and from campus will also function on different timetables, which can be consulted on the UAB Mobility and transport website.
UAB researchers have developed open-access material to raise awareness among lecturers and students of the translation and interpreting tasks that fall on children and teenagers from migrant families, both at school and socially. These resources are the result of two research projects, presented at the seminar on "Young interpreters: language intermediation as a diversity inclusion tool", held on 27 June at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.
MultiTraiNMT: a European project to train multilingual citizens of Europe in the use of machine translation
Four European universities, led by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, are developing the MutNMT tool to train multilingual citizens across Europe in the possibilities and uses of neural machine translation. Twenty partners from the education sector and the translation industry are also part of the project.
