The UAB Libraries have reviewed the Service Charter and updated the modality of some of our services, including new ones.

Over the past three years, since the publication of the latest edition of the Service Charter (2022), we have strengthened our personalized advisory services and the virtual and online services offered. Research support services have been consolidated, and this strategic line currently carries significant weight within the Library Service. It is also worth highlighting how some of our services integrate with and support faculty in their teaching duties. Finally, we would like to highlight the efforts made by the Library Service to define new spaces that are better adapted to the current needs of our users.

We have adapted the charter following the Regulations of service charters of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Agreement of the Governing Council of July 8, 2021) and, therefore, the section where we detail the mission and values of the UAB Libraries has been updated following those defined in the 2025-2030 Action Plan: https://ddd.uab.cat/record/311469

We have reviewed the text of the Service Charter to ensure gender-neutral and inclusive language.

We have analyzed the quality indicators and updated them according to the criteria of our quality management system.

The new Service Charter was approved on June 4, 2025, by the General Commission of Library Service Users and by the UAB Quality Commission on June 18, 2025.
