The event was organized by Glòria Ortega, Guillem Izquierdo, and Santiago Robert, with the participation of the entire Department of Private Law.

During the opening session, the Head of the Department highlighted the historic significance of the initiative, noting that it was the first time in 55 years that a conference of this kind had been organized within the Department.

The programme addressed issues related to artificial intelligence, healthcare, personal rights, property law, commercial and procedural law, as well as other challenges arising from digitalization and technological transformation.

The conference was very well received and provided a valuable forum for discussion, exchange, and shared reflection among faculty members and participants. The success of the event demonstrates both the interest in and the need to establish this conference as a permanent forum for academic debate within the Department.

Following this successful first edition, the Department is already looking ahead with the aim of organizing a second edition.
