The Faculty of Law at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona hosted a conference on Friday, May 22, dedicated to career opportunities in the field of digital law and the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession.

The event featured two experts in new technologies and digital law, Rodolfo Tessone and Gerard Spuga, and was moderated by Josep Cañabate, co-coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Law at the UAB.

During the session, participants discussed new professional opportunities related to legaltech, data protection, AI regulation, and the digital transformation of the legal sector. The speakers emphasized the need for future legal professionals to develop technological skills and a cross-disciplinary understanding of the law in order to adapt to the rapid changes driven by artificial intelligence.

The conference generated great interest among attending students and encouraged reflection on the future of the legal profession in a context shaped by technological innovation and digitalization.

The activity forms part of the initiatives linked to the UAB Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Law, aimed at bringing students closer to the new challenges and opportunities of the legal-tech market.
