Seminar on paradiplomacy and investment disputes for MUIE students
The Faculty of Law of the UAB hosted a seminar on April 17, 2026, titled “Paradiplomacy in International Investment Disputes: Quebec and the Ruby v Canada Case”, delivered by Prof. Jean-Michel Marcoux (Université Laval, Québec).

The activity was organized for students of the Master’s in European Integration (MUIE) and focused on the role of sub-state actors in international investment disputes, using the case of Quebec as a key example.
The session provided students with valuable insights into contemporary challenges in international economic law, as well as the opportunity to engage directly with an international expert in the field.
The Faculty of Law thanks Prof. Marcoux for his participation and contribution to the academic programme.
