Students from the UAB’s MUIE carried out an academic visit to Brussels that allowed them to gain first-hand insight into the functioning of the European Union’s institutions and to deepen their understanding of their practical application within the European integration process.

Visita dels estudiants de MUIE UAB

From 10 to 12 December 2025, students from the University Master’s Degree in European Integration (MUIE) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona took part in an academic visit to Brussels with the aim of gaining practical knowledge of how European institutions operate.

The programme included visits to the European Parliament, with an institutional presentation and access to the Plenary Chamber, as well as to the House of European History. Sessions were also held at the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee, where students learned about the role of advisory bodies in the EU decision-making process.

The visit continued at the European Commission, the Permanent Representation of Spain to the EU (REPER), the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the Council of the European Union, with presentations delivered by professionals from the institutions.

This activity forms part of the MUIE’s practical training and enables students to connect academic content with the reality of European institutions, strengthening their professional skills in the field of European integration.
