The Defense of Territory in Mexico: Legal Decolonization and Epistemic Justice

The Faculty of Law of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will host a new session of the Derechos Otros Seminar on April 29, 2026. The session will focus on legal mechanisms for territorial defense in Mexico, as well as the contributions of legal decolonization and epistemic justice as tools for analyzing and transforming law.

The lecture will be delivered by Oscar Arnulfo de la Torre de Lara, professor-researcher in the Department of Law at the Center for Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (Mexico).

The event will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Victoria Kent Room of the Faculty of Law at UAB, and will also be available online via Microsoft Teams (Meeting ID: 353 390 552 176 673 | Access code: sq6G93uy) or in this link. The time in Buenos Aires is 11:00 a.m.
