The Administrative Law Area of the UAB Faculty of Law is organizing a seminar focused on two key issues in today’s legal and social agenda: legal measures to guarantee access to decent housing and the need for specific regulation of homelessness.

Programme

The session will be introduced by Francesc Valdivia Poch, associate professor of administrative law at UAB.

The first presentation, entitled “Access to decent housing and its guarantee as a right. Its provision between the market, incentive measures, and administrative intervention. Towards a new legal paradigm for public policies?”, will be delivered by Francesc Sutrias i Grau, former Secretary for Territory, Urban Planning and Urban Agenda of the Government of Catalonia and advisor on cross-cutting policy analysis and foresight at the Department of Territory.

The second presentation, entitled “A legal gap that must be addressed: the lack of regulation of rooflessness and houselessness”, will be given by Antoni Milian i Massana, honorary professor of administrative law at UAB.

The event is open to the entire university community and to professionals interested in administrative law and public housing policies.
