“Afghan Women: Breaking the Silence” - Event in Defense of Human Rights

The Faculty of Law at UAB is hosting an awareness-raising and advocacy event on the human rights situation of women in Afghanistan, jointly organized with Amnesty International Catalonia and People Help – Refugees Support Network during UAB’s cultural week.

The event aims to highlight the serious violations of rights and freedoms suffered by Afghan women under the Taliban regime, and to call for active support from the international community in defending these rights.

The session will include the screening of a video on the recent history of Afghanistan featuring testimonies from Afghan women, and will also include the in-person participation of two Afghan refugee women, who will share their first-hand experiences.

  • Sabina Puig, Amnesty International Catalonia

The event is open to the entire university community and the general public. Free entry until full capacity is reached.
