University Master's Degree in Territorial Studies and Planning

The Master’s Degree in Territorial Studies and Planning trains professionals to analyse, interpret and intervene in the territory from an integrated, sustainable and socially committed perspective. Through a multidisciplinary approach, it provides advanced training in spatial planning, urban management, regional development and public policy.

One of the distinctive features of the METIP is the development of a core project during the first semester, which structures learning around a real territorial challenge. The project integrates theoretical and practical knowledge through an applied, collaborative and interdisciplinary approach. Through fieldwork, interaction with local stakeholders and critical reflection, students gain an understanding of the value of geographical knowledge in addressing complex social issues.

This structure of the study programme was established in the 2012–2013 academic year. Since then, the master’s programme has organised an annual conference series featuring leading professionals and academics who provide an up-to-date and diverse perspective on the territorial challenges addressed by the core project.
