The thesis defense will take place next,  july, 22 2026 at 10:30h at the Sala de Graus de la Facultat de Lletres (B7/052) .

The researcher shared evidence-based intervention strategies aimed at improving care and support for individuals affected by this rare disease and their families.

On 15 June 2026, the Doctoral Committee of the Clinical and Health Psychology Programme organised the round table “Working with Chronic Conditions: Challenges for Psychologists and Researchers”, an academic activity addressed to faculty members and students of the Faculty. 

The study, recognized with the Juan Antonio Micó 2025 Award, demonstrates the effectiveness of the multicomponent FIBROWALK program in reducing fibromyalgia severity and provides evidence supporting accessible and scalable interventions for the management of chronic pain.

The researcher from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology presented a review of more than two decades of research on neuroimaging and chronic pain, highlighting the potential of brain biomarkers to improve the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia.

The team presents three studies linking weight stigma with mental health problems in adolescents and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Marta Salla, professor and researcher at the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), recently participated in “Nòmada 7: Mental Health and Well-being Special”, an initiative promoted by UAB Media and organized by the UAB Faculty of Communication Sciences.

Professor Dimitra Anastasiadou from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology participated on May 13 at the 33rd European Congress on Obesity held in Istanbul with an oral presentation on weight stigma in the family context and its impact on adolescent psychological well-being.
