The project Avaluació del treball autònom en l’era de la IA generativa: del producte al procés (Projecte Athena) will be implemented during the 2026-27 academic year in the course Personality and Individual Differences.

Professor Danilo Moggia, from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), participated in the 57th International Meeting of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR), held in Osaka, Japan. During the conference, he presented new research on network psychometrics and took part in a panel discussion on the role of unified theories of human behaviour in psychotherapy research.

The “Article of the Month” initiative, promoted by the Research and Communication Committee of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology, has selected the study “Stigmatizing attitudes and misconceptions about obesity among Spanish healthcare professionals”, publicat a la revista PLOS One". 

The Secretariat of Public Health of the Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia has published No Body Left Out of the Game, a new tool developed in the framework of the Child Obesity Prevention and Treatment Program in Catalonia (POICAT) with the objective of promoting a practice of physical and sports activity free of stigma due to weight. Professor David Sánchez-Carracedo, from the Department of Clinical Psychology and Health at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​has collaborated in the revision of the document.

Professor Adrián Pérez Aranda, from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), participated in the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) World Conference 2026, held in Lyon, France, where he presented a scientific poster on the relationship between self-esteem, self-compassion, and well-being.

The Research and Communication Committee of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology highlights the article “Randomized Controlled Trial on the Effects of Metacognitive Training (MCT) in a Sample of Patients With Recent Onset Psychosis: Study of the Impact on the Severity and Dimensions of Delusions, Self-Esteem and Depression”,  published in Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy, as the article of the month for May 2026. 

The researcher shared evidence-based intervention strategies aimed at improving care and support for individuals affected by this rare disease and their families.

On 15 June 2026, the Doctoral Committee of the Clinical and Health Psychology Programme organised the round table “Working with Chronic Conditions: Challenges for Psychologists and Researchers”, an academic activity addressed to faculty members and students of the Faculty. 

The study, recognized with the Juan Antonio Micó 2025 Award, demonstrates the effectiveness of the multicomponent FIBROWALK program in reducing fibromyalgia severity and provides evidence supporting accessible and scalable interventions for the management of chronic pain.
