Dr. Estíbaliz Royuela Colomer, lecturer in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), together with Dr. Dimitra Anastasiadou, recently organised a symposium session on the challenges of adolescent mental health in relation to eating behaviour and body image. The session took place within the framework of the 11th International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology in Children and Adolescents, held from 19 to 22 November in Málaga (Spain).

Dr. David Sánchez Carracedo, researcher and professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), participated on October 16th in the VII Congress of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and 1^st International Congress of the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, held in Madrid. During the event, he examined emerging paradigms linking psychology and nutrition, presented under the theme “Nutrition with Emotion.”

On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, the seminar “AI and Health: From the Classroom to Clinical Practice” will be held, organized by the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.

We invite you to the seminar “AI and Health: From the Classroom to Clinical Practice”, an event that will highlight expert voices from research, philosophy, and clinical psychology, as well as the student perspective, to discuss the ethical, scientific, and practical implications of AI and its potential to improve health training and students’ future clinical practice.

The event, attended by more than 90 people, concluded with the presentation of awards for the best oral communications. The prize consists of registration for a scientific conference to be held during 2026.

The Research and Communication Commission of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology has selected "Unraveling the impact of prenatal air pollution for neonatal brain maturation" as the article of the month for October.

On Friday, November 7, at the Sala de Graus of the Facultat de Lletres, the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology will hold its 2nd Research Day, organized by the Department’s Research and Communication Committee under the supervision of the Department’s management team.

The researcher and professor from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Adrián Pérez Aranda, presented the results of a study on predicting treatment response to new forms of cognitive-behavioural therapy in people with chronic low back pain and depression.

The Research Committee of the Faculty of Psychology has selected “Personality Assessment Inventory in Fibromyalgia: Links to Functional, Physical–Somatic, and Emotional Impact”  as the article of the month for August.
