Forum l’Escala-Empúries, with the support of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, the AHCISP Research Group, the Autonomous Solidarity Foundation and the CORE of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, together with the NGO AlterNativa-Intercanvi amb pobles Indígenes de Barcelona, l'Escala City Council and l'Escala-Empúries's Cultura, present the Exhibition La Mar de Dones, dedicated to showing the persistent presence and key role of women in the economic, socio-ecological and cultural life of the sea. The exhibition begins on the Costa Brava and the Mediterranean and ends with a display of the active life of women at sea around the world.
The exhibition was curated by Assumpció Vila (CSIC) and Jordi Estévez (UAB).

From January 14 to February 4, the posters prepared by students of the subject Anthropology of the Peoples of Spain of the Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, with professor Montserrat Clua (Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, UAB), prepared as a final year project, will be exhibited in the lobby of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
