XIPE - Network of Interest in Ethnological Heritage

The XIPE is a Network of Interest in Ethnological Heritage, which is part of the CORE network in Cultural Heritage of the UAB

The network was created in June 2017 with the aim of bringing together and creating a space for communication and synergies between anthropologists linked to the Department who have done and/or are doing research in this field. It brings together professors from the department and researchers belonging to various research groups. It has established collaboration agreements with entities that work on the knowledge, promotion and dissemination of research on ethnological heritage. Currently collaborating with the Fundació Bosch i Cardellach, advising on the creation of the Ethnological Heritage Inventory of the Vallès.

In recent years, within the XIPE and within the framework of the subject Anthropology of Religion, Symbolism and Ritual, an Inventory of Rituals has been carried out, prepared with the help of Internship fellows and under the direction of Virgínia Fons i Montserrat Ventura: https://webs.uab.cat/rituals
