Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

In accordance with Section C of the Appendix to Order ECD/1070/2013, of 12 June, admission requirements are to hold a degree in Psychology and, if deemed necessary, additional training to certify a minimum of 90 ECTS credits obtained specifically in the health sector.

If you hold a degree in Psychology the following subjects will be validated as health sector credits:
  • Subjects related to Psychological and Psychobiological Personality, Evaluation and Treatment.
  • Qualified specialisations, minors or optional subjects related to Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology or Healthcare Psychology.
  • Work placements in the sector.
  • Final Degree Project in Clinical, Health or Healthcare Psychology.
  • Subjects related to Psychological Processes and Methodology in which you acquired additional skills apart from those defined in Section 2b of the appendix of the Order ECD/1070/2013.
If you hold a degree in Psychology the following subjects will be validated as health sector credits:
  • Subjects related to Psychological and Psychobiological Personality, Evaluation and Treatment.
  • Specialisations, itineraries, intra-curricular or optional subjects belonging to Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology or Healthcare Psychology.
  • Work placements in the sector.
  • Subjects related to Psychological Processes and Methodology in which you acquired additional skills apart from those defined in Section 2b of the appendix of the Order ECD/1070/2013.
All additional training credits which meet the requirements of Law 5/2011, of 29 March, in Social Economs, will also be accepted.

You must certify that these 90 ECTS credits belong to the healthcare sector before you are admitted to the master's degree by attaching the corresponding documents to your pre-registration form.

In this way, and in accordance with the requirements of Law 33/2011, of 4 October, there is the guarantee that the person who completes the master's degree and can work professionally as a General Health Psychologist, has completed a minimum of 180 ECTS credits in specific health care related contents offered either at the master's degree or undergraduate degree level.

If your qualification was not issued by one of the countries belonging to the European Higher Education Area, you will need to validate your documents in Spain.

Selection criteria

In the case of there being more applicants than places available, the only criteria applied will be in relation to your overall academic score in Psychology.
