Grants and programmes
You may enrol provisionally as a scholarship holder if you meet the following two conditions:
- Meet the academic requirements established in the general scholarship call for the current academic year (these are automatically checked at the time of enrolment).
- Have submitted the application for the general scholarship for the current academic year.
If you do not meet both conditions, you will not be able to formalise your enrolment under provisional scholarship status.
General scholarships for undergraduate and official master’s degree students Academic Year 2026-2027
Description
During the 2026-2027 academic year there will be two calls for applications: one from the Generalitat de Catalunya (AGAUR) and another from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
UAB undergraduate and official master’s students may only submit an application to one of the two calls, depending on the family residence (the residence of the main income earners or of the applicant, if declared independent, as of 31/12/2025, will be taken into account).
Students with family residence in Catalonia:
General scholarship from the Generalitat de Catalunya for university students.
- You must submit the application to the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) through the Tràmits Gencat portal
Students with family residence outside Catalonia:
General scholarships from the Ministry for post-compulsory studies.
- You must submit the application through the Electronic Office of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPD).
Points to consider:
- Scholarship records cannot be transferred between the MEFPD and AGAUR.
- If the application is submitted to a call that does not correspond, it will still be processed by the receiving body according to the indicated residence, but certain grants (such as residence or insularity allowances) will not be granted.
- If applications are submitted to both calls, the last submitted one will be considered valid.
Application period:
- From April 7 at 8:00 a.m. to May 18 at 3:00 p.m. (Barcelona local time).
It is recommended to apply within the deadline, even if it is not yet clear what you will study or whether you will finally start your studies.
General information:
- Information on academic, financial and other requirements is available on the official websites of AGAUR and the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
- If the scholarship is proposed as denied, the enrolment fee will be charged in accordance with UAB regulations, in a single payment. The university will notify this in advance by email.
- The submission of appeals or claims does not exempt from payment of the enrolment fee.
- The final award of the scholarship is subject to meeting the established requirements; enrolling as a provisional scholarship holder does not guarantee a positive outcome.
Enrolment modifications with scholarship application
Changes to enrolment that affect the number of credits and other academic requirements established in the calls may have consequences for the scholarship decision, as well as for eligibility for different types of financial aid.
Therefore, if you have applied for a scholarship, it is important to consider the academic requirements before making any changes, especially if this involves reducing the number of enrolled credits below 60 credits.
Institutional scholarships
FUAB collaboration scholarships for promotional activities (February to July):
FUAB collaboration scholarships are aimed at students enrolled in that academic year in the degree programme (students in second, third or fourth year) who have successfully completed at least 60 credits.
The aim of the scholarship is to carry out support tasks in different FUAB Formació promotional activities, such as Open Days, the Education Fair, workshops and other events that are scheduled. Tasks include promotional activities, logistical support, customer service and information support, among others.
The selection of candidates is carried out by a committee appointed and chaired by the Director of Academic Services of FUAB and composed of the School Director, the Head of Administration, the programme coordinators and the Head of the Internships and Careers Unit.
