The event will follow up the Bridging Shades of Blue Workshop hosted in ICTA-UAB in 2023, with the support of the ICTA-UAB ‘Maria de Maetzu’ unit of excellence. This is a fundamental knowledge co-creation workshop organized as an IPOS side-event to the Barcelona 2024 Ocean Decade Conference. The event will gather perspectives from transdisciplinary experts (scientists, practitioners, decision-makers), primarily from the Global South, to advance IPOS’s co-design.

The workshop is set to assess and refine key elements of an improved knowledge-decision interface, integrating insights from Global South stakeholders. It will serve IPOS’s objective to (re)connect ocean knowledge and decisions.

The workshop will facilitate both the identification of priority issues through a fair and inclusive exchange and the pathways and methods to respond to it. It will enhance ICTA-UAB visibility in the Barcelona 2024 Ocean Decade Conference.
