Launch Event: Special Issue on Degrowth and Global (Inter)dependencies, with Brototi Roy

Brototi Roy, researcher at ICTA-UAB, will present online the new Special Issue "Degrowth and Global (Inter)dependencies" in the journal New Global Studies, which she guest edited.

The Special Issue critically examines questions surrounding degrowth’s global outreach and impact, themes that continue to spark divided and diverse opinions within the field and beyond. Alongside the guest editor team, various authors will share insights into their contributions and what these bring to the broader field of degrowth.

This launch event celebrates the publication of the Special Issue on Degrowth and Global (Inter)dependencies in the journal New Global Studies. The Special Issue critically examines questions surrounding degrowth’s global outreach and impact – themes that continue to spark divided and diverse opinions within the field and beyond. During the launch event, we would like to give you some insight into the motivations and aspirations of the Special Issue. Alongside the guest editor team, various authors will share insights into their contributions and what these bring to the broader field of degrowth.

 Following the introduction and presentations of the individual contributions, there will be time for questions and open discussion.
