GesP˙blSeg: Public Security Management

In this line of research, we study the different ways of managing security and views for actions ex ante in the face of risks.

Reaction models are analysed versus prevention models and it is concluded that the latter are more efficient for management given their potential to save lives and minimise risks.

Public security management also has to be focussed from the point of view of human safety to give an integrated response to the risks affecting society and measuring their importance objectively rather than employing subjective criteria. This cost-benefit analysis allows for risks to be effectively tackled.
