Call for PhD thesis and Postdoctoral Paper Prizes 2025
We are pleased to invite nominations for the:
- Best PhD thesis defended in 2025 by a female scientist or for a dissertation with a central gender focus or feminist epistemology, written by a researcher of any gender.
- Best Postdoctoral Paper published in 2025 by a female postdoctoral scientist or for a paper with a central gender focus or feminist epistemology led by a postdoc of any gender.
This award is part of ICTA-UAB’s Gender Equity Policy and aims to highlight excellent scholarship while promoting inclusive research practices across the Institute.
Who nominates and submits?
For the Postdoc Award, the supervisor or mentor of a postdoctoral researcher. For the PhD theses Award, the doctoral supervisor of a PhD candidate
How to nominate?
1. Postdoctoral published paper: Any supervisor or mentor based at ICTA-UAB who wishes to nominate a postdoctoral published paper (limited to one paper per supervisor/mentor) should write a brief nomination letter justifying the nomination. The nominated paper must be first-authored by a postdoctoral researcher who was affiliated with ICTA-UAB and had their paper published in 2025.

2. PhD theses: Any doctoral supervisor based at ICTA-UAB who wishes to nominate a thesis (limited to one defended thesis per supervisor, defended in 2025) should write a brief nomination letter justifying the nomination.

If you supervise both an outstanding PhD thesis and an outstanding postdoctoral paper, you are welcome to submit one nomination in each category.
Deadline:
All nomination materials must be submitted online by March 13th.
The results will be announced at the 2026 ICTA-UAB Summer Day event.
