Part of the information in this section is under evaluation by the Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya (AQU)
The admission requirements for the master’s program are as follows:
- A university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), preferably in Art History or an equivalent qualification.
Graduates in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Architecture, and other Social Sciences degrees—such as Audiovisual Communication, Journalism, Tourism, Anthropology, and Educational Sciences or equivalent—may also be admitted. These students, after an evaluation of their academic record by the Master’s Committee, may be required to take supplementary courses, which will be specified in the corresponding section.
This master’s program has been designed to meet the needs of a highly diverse student body coming from different academic backgrounds. The professional and research field related to the Analysis and Management of Artistic Heritage is currently characterized by its transdisciplinary nature. Institutions and companies dedicated to the analysis and management of artistic heritage, both in the private and public sectors, do not hire specialists with a specific university degree, but rather professionals capable of integrating diverse knowledge, skills, and competencies. In this sense, graduates from all disciplines in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences may access the program, as well as those interested in training in the heritage field, such as graduates in Architecture, Archaeology, Design, or Communication.
Students whose mother tongue is not Spanish or Catalan must provide proof of C1-level proficiency in Spanish, certified by an official document, except in cases where their previous education was completed at a Spanish or Spanish-speaking American university.
