Ripollet, Spain - TransMedia Catalonia, a participant in the European MILE Project, extends a warm invitation to the community to join us at the Festa per la Pau (Peace Celebration) - the grand finale of the European MILE Project, a collaborative initiative that promotes the inclusion, participation, and integration of migrants and refugees.

The Festa per la Pau will take place in the courtyard of the Cultural Center on Friday, October 20th in Ripollet. This event marks the culmination of a two-year journey in which the Ripollet City Council, in collaboration with Kudwa and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), actively participated in this pioneering European project.

Running from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the Festa per la Pau will offer a delightful array of workshops and activities suitable for children and families. The event will feature live musical performances under the theme 'Music for Peace' and a testimonial space where individuals who have been part of this transformative project will share their experiences.

The Festa per la Pau serves as an opportunity to celebrate the diverse cultures coexisting in Ripollet. Through engaging activities facilitated by Traça, attendees will have the chance to explore and appreciate the unique characteristics of these cultures.

The MILE Project is a significant endeavour spanning six European countries, with Ripollet representing Spain in this initiative. The core mission of the project is to create participatory tools that can be adopted by other cities and countries. These tools aim to amplify the collective voice of migrants and refugees, allowing them to influence decision-making processes on a national and international level.

In Ripollet, the MILE Project has been instrumental in the establishment of the Table of Migrants and Refugees of Ripollet. This inclusive platform involves the active participation of individuals and organizations such as the Red Cross, Caritas, Acollim Ripollet, and Traça. In the near future, the regulations governing the table will be presented to the Council for approval, formalizing it as a new citizen participation and inclusion body.

TransMedia Catalonia and the MILE Project invite you to join us on October 20th at the Festa per la Pau to celebrate unity, diversity, and a more inclusive future for Ripollet. Your presence will make a difference in building a stronger, more connected community.

Join us as we make a difference!
