The last number arrived from a newspaper will be on the display stands of the  fourth floor of the Library. Keep in mind that some newspapers arrive by mail and are not received on the same day they are published.

News on a particular topic published in newspapers can be found using press indexing databases. Visit the UAB Press Databases page to search for relevant articles.

The resources providing this data can be found on the Audience page. For Spanish newspapers, the Boletín de la Oficina de Justificación de la Difusión (OJD) database will be particularly useful.

Search for the title of the supplement in the Search engine. If it appears, check the signature and location details. If it does not appear in the search results, it can be found within the newspaper itself. For example, the cultural supplement Babelia is not listed in the catalogue, meaning you will need to look for it in the relevant issue of El País.

The search can be extended to the CCUC (Collective Catalogue of the Universities of Catalonia). We also highlight the newspaper archives of the following three institutions:

• Historical Archive of the City of Barcelona
• Biblioteca de Catalunya
• The Pavelló de la República CRAI Library  (University of Barcelona)

On the Press Resources page, you will find various press databases, many of which are freely accessible and contain digitised historical press material.

You can request deposit documents from the Search Engine; you have to identify yourself and click "Get it". You also can call  93 581 23 38 during the opening hours of the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives (from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 9:00 h).
