Throughout the month of November, games will be the protagonists of our activities: playful and participative proposals designed to learn, share and enjoy in community.
We encourage you to participate!

"El Cas de l'Assassí entre Llibres" at the Sabadell University Library
The Sabadell University Library once again becomes a stage of intrigue with a new activity of dynamization full of mystery, enigmas and deductions. This time the participants will have to face The Case of the Assassin between Books.
The plot:
A murder has been committed in the building. The trial is tonight, but the library closes in half an hour. There is no time for policemen or long investigations — only you can solve the case. Become detectives and find out who the killer is before it is too late. But beware... The culprit could be closer than you think. Will you have enough time to discover the truth before the lights go out?
A unique experience to test your wit, work as a team and discover the library in a different way.
Place: Sabadell University Library – Magatzem Room
Date: Monday 24th and Thursday 27th November
Hours: 1pm to 3pm
Duration: 30 minutes per session

Guided game of “TROS, l’aventura pagesa” at the Veterinary Library
The Veterinary Library invites you to learn about the contents and pedagogical values of "TROS, l'aventura pagesa", a card game that allows you to work on the cooperation, sustainability and reality of the management of the Catalan agricultural territory.
This game proposes to discover the need and value of managing landscapes and resources in a collaborative and sustainable way. All the elements of the game are based on the Catalan territorial reality and includes two mini games with pedagogical value: one to know the plants and another about the field tools.
To put it into practice, a guided game is organized for Tuesday, November 25th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on floor 0 of the Veterinary Library (activity without inscription).
“Print and Play!” at the Medicine Library
From November 24th to 28th, at the Medicine Library you will find the activity “Print and Play!”, an original proposal to discover and enjoy free license board games. Participants will be able to see the covers of several popular games and, through a QR code, access the website to download them to print and play from home or in the library.
Role games in the Communication Library
The Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives and the UAB Role-Playing Club (CRUAB) are organizing 8 board role-playing games, which will take place between the 20th and 28th of November, in the morning and afternoon, in the Library's Training Room (floor -1).
Each game is a short adventure (oneshot), designed to last between 3 and 4 hours. It will be run by a master from CRUAB. The characters are already pre-designed, and no material is needed. The level of the games is introductory: everyone is welcome, whether they have experience in role-playing or have never played.
Check the scheduled games and sign up on the website at the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archive.
And also:
Bibliographic exhibitions
In the Science and Technology Library, within the exhibition "Start Game: video games at the UAB" and until November 20th, you can play video games in a specially enabled space. The particularity of these video games is that they have been created by former students of the UAB Master in Video Game Creation. And they catch on!
In addition, the Library also participates in the GeoBiosciences game, launched by the dean of Biosciences among its students to identify and know the spaces of the faculty. The BCT is one of the points of geocaching.
On the other hand, the Social Sciences Library will host a bibliographic exhibition, in which different libraries of the UAB will participate. Here you will find a selection of books about games and their presence in literature and culture, as well as a section of free license games that you can print and play from home.
Reels about games
What games from our libraries do the #UABers prefer: Rummikub or puzzles? Chess or Monopoly? We went out to ask you what your game habits are, what you know about the play areas in the libraries and what games you would like us to have for loan. During the month of November we will publish the reels of the interviews on our Instagram @biblioteques_uab.
Play spaces in libraries
We remind you that UAB libraries offer board games on loan and spaces where you can play and share a fun time.
You will also find the Video Games Service in the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives, and a video game station of the humanities field (especially history) in the Journal Room of the Humanities Library.
