September full of exhibitions at the Humanities Library
This September, several exhibitions will be inaugurated in both the Humanities Library and the Periodicals Room, offering a varied programme for everyone.

Throughout September, the Periodicals Room of the Humanities Library hosts the bibliographic exhibition "Science Fiction in Spanish: History and Current Affairs – The Úcar Collection." This exhibition showcases several issues of the Spanish science fiction and fantasy magazine Nueva Dimensión, a significant portion of which comes from the personal collection of Professor Xavier Úcar.
In the same space, you can also visit "Archéo-sexisme", a travelling exhibition created by the Archéo-Éthique association and the Paye ta Truelle project. Through various illustrations by different artists, the exhibition aims to promote gender equality by highlighting the challenges women face in the archaeological field.
On the third floor of the Humanities Library, you will find the exhibition "The Art of Translating the World: The Legacy of Jordi Arbonès". This display, based on his personal collection of manuscripts, articles, and translations, traces the career of Arbonès, a translator, writer, and cultural activist deeply committed to Catalan literature. In the Rico Room, a bibliographic exhibition commemorates the 420th anniversary of Don Quixote, featuring a selection of editions and studies from the personal collection of Francisco Rico, a renowned Cervantes scholar. This exhibition offers a fresh perspective on the masterpiece and its global significance.
Still in Building L, on the ground floor, opposite the lift, you’ll find the "Wonderful Mind" exhibition. This selection of books on psychology and neuroscience explores the workings of the human mind, the brain’s remarkable capacities, how it perceives the world, generates memories, and more.
Still in building L of the library, on floor 0, in front of the elevator, the "Wonderful Mind" exhibition is inaugurated: a selection of books on psychology and neuroscience, the functioning of the human mind, the amazing capacities of the brain, how the brain perceives the world and generates memories and other related topics.
