The Socials Sciences Library presents the Carandell Library's collection of factitious
More than 1,800 historical documents bound in 158 volumes make up the factitious collection of the Carandell Economic Library, deposited in the Social Sciences Library. It is a unique resource for the study of law, industry and commerce from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

We present a particularly interesting part of the Carandell Economic Library's collection: the collection of factitious documents. This collection brings together more than 1,800 documents bound in 158 volumes, corresponding to works published mainly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
These documents include official reports, conference proceedings, academic speeches, opinions, oral presentations, bills, reports, short treatises, and many other diverse materials of academic interest. Regarding the areas of knowledge, law is particularly prominent, with a notable presence of documents on civil and commercial law, labor and administrative law. We also find materials on agrarian, fiscal and tax law, ecclesiastical law, and criminal law.
At the same time, there is a significant volume of documents focused on industry and commerce in Catalonia, Spain and Europe, which reflect the economic and social development of their time.
This collection is a valuable resource for researchers and students and is part of the UAB's rich bibliographic heritage.
