Synthetic Biology Group Wins Best Poster Award at the 15th International Symposium on Lactic Acid Bacteria

The Lac2Brain project, led by Maria Lluch Senar and with Raul Burgos Castellanos as the first author listed on the poster, explores the engineering of gut bacteria for the treatment of brain cancer.

The Synthetic Biology Group, led by Maria Lluch Senar, has won the Best Poster Award at the 15th International Symposium on Lactic Acid Bacteria, held this week in the Netherlands.

Raul Burgos Castellanos is the first author listed on the poster. The work was supported by other members of the team and by Samuel Miravet, a researcher affiliated with ETH Zurich in Switzerland.

The project, entitled Lac2Brain, focuses on the engineering of gut bacteria for the treatment of brain cancer. It is funded by the Fundación Científica de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer through the AECC Lab grant.
